Proptech solutions are quickly becoming an essential amenity for renters of all ages. According to a 2023 National Multifamily Renter Study from Realpage, residents across generations "expect some degree of technological convenience" to be included in their rental experience.
The preference for more centralized, digital communication was a major revelation in this study. 79% of renters said "they should be able to get everything they need from their property managers via direct message, text or chat," calling for less face-to-face interactions.
While other priorities vary, with younger generations valuing mobile apps and older renters requesting smart safety features, it is clear that proptech can significantly enhance the rental experience. This in turn leads to increased occupancy, greater retention rates, and higher resident satisfaction overall!
